Tom’s Barn – a Homegrown Home-From-Home

You may be wondering if you can stay awhile at Lower Hampen Farm. Happily, you, your family and friends can do just that at Tom’s Barn, a breath-takingly beautiful five-bedroom, five-bathroom detached holiday barn with just the sounds of nature and rural life to keep you company in the Cotswolds.

This 300-year-old barn has been lovingly renovated by us to create a spacious, superbly comfortable, and welcoming holiday home with a glorious garden and fabulous views. The barn is in the perfect location to easily explore the Cotswolds villages, towns, and countryside, including Cheltenham, Bourton-on-the-Water, Stow-on-the-Wold and the Gloucestershire Way.

Inside Tom’s Barn

On the ground floor is a large, beamed living room with a wood-burning stove, TV, piano, and plenty of comfy seating. A separate snug is to one side, with sofa seating and a TV. The twin bedrooms are on this level, as well as an ensuite, family shower room and a handy utility room. To the other side of the living room is a large and equipped farmhouse-style kitchen-dining room, with a garden room directly off it that leads out to the patio and outside dining area.

Head up the wide, feature staircase to a gallery landing where you can find the three remaining bedrooms: one large master double bedroom with an ensuite bathroom, and two twin bedrooms, one with an ensuite shower room and the other a family bathroom.

Outside Tom’s Barn

Look out from the living room and garden room to the terraced garden set on three levels; the lowest terrace has a patio with a large BBQ and dining area, the middle has a small, immaculate lawn, a lavender border and double swing seat, and the top terrace has a wide lawn with an open-sided, corner cabin – the ideal spot to sunset or star gaze.

To the side of the patio is the gravel parking area, with the extra parking in the farmyard just beside that. Immediately outside the barn is open countryside, and the Gloucestershire Way long-distance footpath.
